IF IN DOUBT
by Keith Wilkinson
For as long as Keith Wilkinson could remember, there was only one thing he wanted to be: A Doctor.
If In Doubt is the story of the hurdles he overcame to achieve that dream, and those he went on to face in a career that spanned nearly four decades as an anaesthetist. Three of these took place as a consultant at Noble’s Hospital in the Isle of Man, where he needed to be prepared for literally anything.
From major trauma to obstetric emergencies; from critically ill children to the stark reality of Intensive Care ethical dilemmas. He saw it all.
This book is available to purchase from Amazon.
Pieces of My Career
I retired at the end of June 2020 after 37 years as an anaesthetist, exactly 30 of them as a consultant at Noble’s Hospital.
I have been reading true crime since I was about ten years old and decided to write my own book in 2002. I then wrote a book about Nick Yarris in the US who was on death row for 21 years as an innocent man. It wasn’t published but I enjoyed and learnt from the experience.
